Alien Exchange
Alien Exchange was designed to encourage the development of reading and writing skills while integrating technology into the classroom. Mrs. Ferguson and I paired up to have each student in our classes create an alien picture. The students then wrote a description of their alien. These descriptions were then exchanged via e-mail. Our classes read their partner’s description and drew an alien picture. The exciting and most difficult part involves creating a redrawn picture as close to the original picture as possible without looking at the original and using only the written description of the alien.
