Ya gott'a love this - it says the site is "the greatest encyclodictionalmanacapedia" available - and I believe it! It's awesome! A huge variety of information has been gathered from multiple places and conveniently placed in Answers.com. Particularly useful for upper primary and above.

Each article is enhanced with links to newspaper and magazine articles as well as pictures and maps - all provided by HighBeam Research."

Internet Public Library
The Internet Public Library features a convenient service called Ask A Question. In addition to all the various reference materials you would expect, the IPL has an online volunteer staff dedicated to answering reference questions for visitors of the IPL.

Part of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)web site. It offers "information on many aspects of water, along with pictures, data, maps, and an interactive center where you can give opinions and test your water knowledge." Also has link to an area where you can investigate the water cycle -- in 50 different languages.
