ALL pupils in K-12 must be a part of health education HIV/AIDS instruction providing accurate information concerning: - nature of the disease - methods of transmission - methods of prevention (parents may opt child out of this one piece only) - stress abstinence as most appropriate and effective protection against AIDS - it must be sequential , age appropriate, and consistent with community values
