I have a couple of things that are my favorites for the Thanksgiving holidays-
I have my students write three reasons why they shouldn't have turkey at Thanksgiving then we sneak all around the school & put up the signs for others to read. The kids really enjoy sharing their work with the whole school and love the sneaking around. Of course, my principal figured out who was doing this! LOL!
-The second is sending home the disguise the turkey project. The students cut out the turkey and disguise it. We go to some of the classroom and will do the readers theater then show our turkey disguises they made at home. Later, we'll put them on our outside wall for everyone to enjoy.
This is also a good time to have some creative writing about another point of view. We have already read "The Pain and the Great One" and talked about point of view, so this gives them a chance to write about it.
I've included all this in the attached sheets. I hope you have a terrific Thanksgiving! Joanne
