|Keeping Work on Your Computer
I read on several of my web rings about keeping your work neatly on your computer. I don't have any answers, but I use folders for everything. I have so much stuff on my computer that I can't find it unless it's well labeled (and sometimes not even then!). I use find and Google Desktop all the time. I'm a little embarrassed about how messy my desk top is, but I'm going to take a picture of it to show you some of my files.
I decided to take a picture of only half of my desktop...the rest is even worse. It drives my son crazy when he comes to help me do something on my iMac. My son and daughter have only one folder on their desktop. I just can't work that way.
What I'm trying to say is keep everything. I can't tell you how many messages I've seen on my web ring where they've lost something they needed. So protect your worksheets and all your hard work. I keep all my important things on a flash drive. They have eight gigs out now and are sometimes on sale for around $25 or $35. Get one and it's easy to carry back and forth to school. I washed my flash drive in my jeans pocket. I was panic-ing all over the place...my son said to let it dry out and it'd still work...he was right! Joanne
