jar writing jar writing
Many years ago I drew a large jar and the students cut out the middle and wrote stories and glued it to the back (so it would show).  Then later we cut out the jar and drew things inside the jar.  But a few years ago, I saw a monster writing on Teresa Wilson's website and remembered how much fun the students had writing on their jars.  I've given you some ideas and extensions for this creative writing.
