To make a single sheet open board game- These are instructions on Mac, but it should be similar on a pc. -open word
-click on insert to get pictures to use
-click on picture & then clip art (I went to microsoft.com and downloaded lots of pictures to use for school) http://office.microsoft.com/clipart/default.aspx?lc=en-us
-Once you have a cute picture for the start of your game sheet then click on autoshapes and choose one you like. Then click on your page to place the shape you have chosen. Keep putting the shape on your page until you get to the bottom. You should have them wandering around the page.
-to write in the shape, click on text box. Now you can write in your box- loose one turn, move ahead 2 spaces, etc. To get rid of the lines, go to format and then click on text box. Make transparency 100%, and color- no lines and then click OK.
-Put a cute picture at the end of the shapes. You have made your own game board for anything you want to do in your class. You can make question cards, or use fact cards, etc.
