Luckily, it has worked successfully in our classroom! There are actually 5 "types" but type 1 and type 2 are used the most.

Type 1

- Type one questions are just to get students thinking about an idea- these responses are a simple brainstorm.
-Students are not graded on their responses but are given a check mark with a plus or a minus for great effort

Type 2

- Type two writing counts as a quiz. Students are asked this question on curriculum material taught from the day before or even earlier. The question is usually a concept I go over a great deal. This is a quick way of assessing their knowledge on the topic.

- These responses are graded like a quiz.

Please let me know if you have any more questions!!
2009-05-29 20:18:00.0

165306

Incoming Fourth Graders

What do you hope to learn in fourth grade??????
2009-08-16 21:20:00.0

169773

How are my fifth graders doing?

I have noticed that some of my fifth graders are still enjoying this website!
