Everyday Mathematics
This year in mathematics, we will be learning to master our multiplication facts! Hopefully you all have been practicing them over your summer vacation, which will make it even easier!
In fourth grade, there are 12 units in math.. and YES we will finish them all! The purpose of Everyday Math is to demonstrate how math is used OUTSIDE of the classroom as much as INSIDE of the classroom. I believe in making math hands on and group oriented. I am really looking forward to beginning our first unit!
It is important that your child practice their multiplication facts every night. This will help them master their facts!
We are currently finishing up Unit 4 and will be taking our Unit 4 test before Thanksgiving Break :).
