Third and Fourth Grade students are eligible to become Student Council members. Two representatives are elected by their classmates in each homeroom in October.
Some of the activities members participate in are our bake sales for Mission Kindness and Jean Webster's Food Kitchen, playground clean-up, safety video, lunchroom survey, "No Bullying" poster contest, Theme Day contests, water safety lesson with lifeguards, bridge clean-up, trips to the Surf Stadium and the Glitter Awards, and our award winning recycling program.
Members are also given a class to present our activities to, and to pass on what we learn from our guest speakers. Student Council meets anywhere from once a week to once a month, and there are activites every week throughout the school year.
Student Council members are proud of their school!
