Library Behavior
|
|
It is important that all students follow behavior rules while in the Library. This makes for a more enjoyable experience for others in the class, as well as prepares students for proper behavior in other libraries. Younger classes sit on the steps in the Reading Area and are asked to listen quietly to a story, before moving to tables for activities. When checking out books, students are required to wait in a quiet, straight line and to avoid touching other students. Students not following proper behavior requirements are removed to a time out table. Older students will be asked to return and finish incomplete work at a later time. Any student not taking proper care of the books will be asked to relinquish the book.
